COMPETITIVE CHEERLEADING
For athletes ready for the challenge of being part of a team.
Hotshots competitive teams train throughout the season, developing routines that combine stunting, tumbling, jumps and performance.
Teams represent Notts Hotshots at competitions across the UK, while selected teams within the programme can also earn opportunities to compete internationally.
Competitive cheer isn't reserved for athletes who have been doing the sport for years. Many athletes begin within Hotshots and progress as their skills, confidence and experience grow.

Want to develop stronger floor skills?
Tumbling is an important part of All Star cheerleading, but dedicated tumbling training can also appeal to athletes coming from gymnastics, trampolining or other movement-based sports.
Athletes can work progressively through skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, handsprings, aerials, tucks and connected tumbling according to their current ability.
The focus is on strong technique, body control and appropriate progressions rather than rushing towards a skill before an athlete is ready.

That's absolutely fine.
You don't need previous cheerleading experience to start at Hotshots.
Some athletes arrive already able to tumble. Others haven't done a cartwheel before. Both have somewhere to start.
Our beginner and recreational pathways allow athletes to learn the sport, build confidence and discover what they enjoy before deciding where they want their journey to go.
