Quantity targets
Both Majority and Most are shown where published. Chart reference means the number appears in the shared chart but is not a separate scoring requirement for that element. Not published means this source supplies no separate value; it is not zero. The notes explain which threshold actually earns credit.
Different system.
Different target.
United and IASF use quantity in different ways — and even within one rubric, stunt, pyramid, tumbling and jump sections do not always use the same thresholds. The checker now separates each routine element so a shared chart is not mistaken for one universal target.
The first key threshold.
A defined number of athletes or stunt groups needed to meet the scoring rubric's Majority requirement.
A higher participation target.
United Scoring and parts of IASF use Most as a stronger participation benchmark than Majority.
Maximum participation.
United Scoring uses Max quantities for several difficulty drivers. IASF does not use Max in every category.
Below 16 can be EP-specific.
BCA and Future Cheer publish expanded 2026/27 quantity bands for smaller UK teams. Those extra ranges are adaptations for UK domestic competition — they are not official IASF quantities.
Quantity isn't the score.
Execution, level-appropriate difficulty, synchronisation, variety and other rubric drivers remain essential.
The score sheet can differ.
UK event producers do not all use exactly the same system for every division. Select the framework your competition actually publishes.
Always check the current rubric.
UK Additional Information
Small-team bands for 5–10 and 11–15 athletes, plus UK division-to-rubric assignments. These bands differ from the separate Prep chart.
Open UK additional information ↗IASF Cheer Scoring
Official 2026/27 comparative score sheets, Level Appropriate skills and quantity charts. IASF states that its Cheer divisions require a minimum of 16 athletes, with some Worlds divisions capped at 24.
Open IASF scoring ↗UK Expanded Quantity Charts
BCA publishes an expanded comparative chart to match the SCUK age grid, adding UK team-size ranges below 16 and above 30. BCA explicitly states that the expansion is not an official IASF document.
Open BCA rules & scoring ↗Future Cheer Quantity Chart
Future Cheer's current 2026/27 quantity chart confirms the same below-16 Majority / Most bands through teams of 30 athletes.
Open Future Cheer rules ↗Legacy Expanded Quantities
Legacy uses the IASF scoring system in 2026/27 and publishes a Legacy Expanded Quantity Chart for divisions outside the pure IASF protocol.
Open Legacy scoring ↗Unified Divisions & Age Grid
Used to cross-check UK domestic division structure and Prep conventions, including the 2.1 principle that Level 2 building is paired with Level 1 tumbling.
Open SportCheer UK age grid ↗United International & UK
United's current UK guidance says Non-Worlds teams use the published International documents, while Worlds divisions follow IASF comparative scoring. UK Additional Information adds 5–15 athlete charts and assigns additional UK divisions to the International All Girl and Coed rubrics. Prep has its own separate chart.
Open United Scoring ↗Official IASF and United documents are treated as the primary source. UK-expanded quantities are only shown where current UK event-producer documentation publishes an adaptation. Where a rubric does not publish a fixed quantity, this tool says so. Small-team thresholds are preserved as published, with explicit rubric overrides applied. Skill lists are linked separately; this is not a full legality or division-eligibility checker. Scoring documents can still be revised during the season, so the event producer's current published rubric remains final.
