Bring The Power Of Cheer Into Your School
High-energy cheerleading workshops, PE takeovers, after-school clubs and long-term partnerships designed to build confidence, teamwork, movement skills and school spirit.
More Than A Workshop. A Chance To Discover Something New.
Notts Hotshots Cheer & Dance Academy works with local schools to introduce pupils to the athletic, creative and team-centred sport of cheerleading.
From a one-off PE lesson takeover to a weekly after-school cheer club, every programme can be shaped around your pupils, timetable, facilities and intended outcomes. Sessions can introduce stunts, jumps, dance, performance and safe foundational movement in an encouraging environment.
Our coaches understand that every school is different. We can adapt delivery for primary or secondary pupils, complete beginners, mixed-experience groups and different group sizes—helping more young people feel successful in physical activity.
How Your School Can Work With Hotshots

One-Off Workshops
High-energy cheer experiences for enrichment days, activity weeks, rewards, transition events or simply giving pupils something new to try.
School Performances
Support pupils to create a confident performance for a school event, celebration, showcase, open evening or community occasion.
Community Partnerships
Develop a relationship that can connect school facilities, pupils, families and local opportunities in cheerleading and physical activity.
Dance Add-Ons
Complement cheerleading with hip-hop, lyrical or pom-based sessions when a broader movement and performance programme suits your school.
Cheerleading Has Earned Its Place In UK Sport
In March 2025, Sport England formally recognised cheerleading as a sport in England. SportCheer England is identified as the recognised national governing body for cheerleading in England.
That recognition reflects what athletes and coaches already know: modern cheerleading is a demanding team sport that brings together strength, balance, coordination, timing, trust and performance. It offers schools an exciting way to widen their physical activity programme and engage pupils through something genuinely different.

Sessions are designed to be active, encouraging and progressive, with outcomes that reach far beyond learning a routine.
Physical Skills
Balance, coordination, flexibility, control, strength and awareness through varied movement.
Teamwork
Communication, trust, shared responsibility and understanding the role each pupil plays.
Confidence
Building self-belief through achievable challenges, encouragement and visible progress.
Resilience
Learning, repeating, adapting and working together when a new skill takes perseverance.
Cheerleading can support curriculum-relevant development including balance, agility, coordination, strength, technique, control and performing movement patterns. Delivery is tailored to your pupils and school objectives; we do not offer a one-size-fits-all session.
Cheer First. More Ways To Move.
Cheerleading is our main school offer, with complementary dance styles available when they support your aims.

Hip-Hop
High-energy choreography, rhythm, musicality and expressive performance.
Pom
Sharp movement, teamwork, formations and clean performance technique.
Lyrical
Movement, expression, musical connection and storytelling through dance.
Cheer4Fun At Kimberley School Sports Hall
Our relationship with Kimberley School Sports Hall helps us bring cheerleading closer to local children and families through a weekly community session.
Cheer4Fun runs every Wednesday from 5–6pm and welcomes children aged five and over, including complete beginners. It is a practical example of how a local venue and an experienced cheer programme can work together to create more opportunities for young people.
